The 8-Step Program The Camp MakeBelieve After-School Program is comprised of 8 Steps, all geared toward building emotional competence in kids. Traditionally, the program runs weekly for 1.5 hour sessions for 8 consecutive months from October through mid June. Each month, 1 of the 8 Steps are covered and once a week, the lessons build upon the last. Children are placed in small groups according to their age and/or maturity level. Since the program can be customized to meet the needs of each community, groups may be set up in a variety of different ways. For example, in Las Vegas, Nevada, at Camp MakeBelieve Headquarters, our Summer Sampler Program offers an introduction to each of the 8 Steps. See below for details. Each Step has a supplemental workbook and 1 to 2 accompanying CDs and the Camp MakeBelieve Kids CD case. You may order these workbooks in advance at a reduced price online at; www.campmakebelievekids.com. If you would like the workbooks to be included in your monthly bill and given to your child at the beginning of each new step let us know in advance. Colored Posters, snacks and art supplies are also included. The camp program is billed on a monthly basis at $350 (workbook included each month). If your child already owns the workbooks or if you prefer to order the workbooks online then monthly fee is $310. If entire 8 month after school program is paid in full before sessions begin, 10% will be deducted from the total price. If you require insurance forms to be filled out so you may bill your insurance, or if monthly billing is done by our office, an additional charge of $10.00 per month will be added to cover the costs. Girls Groups will be 10 weeks in length. Each group lasts 1.5 hours. Please download registration form for further information. Referrals: Many of our Camp MakeBelieve parents do us the honor of referring other children to our program. As thanks to our parents you will receive an additional 10% off the total bill for summer sessions and 10% of one month for fall and spring sessions. This applies to each child that attends our program. So, the more you refer, the more is deducted from your bill. Please let us know if you refer another child to our program before they apply.
