Through-out it all, Stephanie remains dedicated to helping children and animals in need. A long time volunteer with Free Arts for Abused Children in Los Angeles as well as the Best Friends Animal Society, Stephanie has been thrilled to be a part of our creative team, whether it's as a writer or an actor. Stephanie is the voice on the read a long, Buster Bobby Learns Respect.

"I feel honored to have worked with Pam on many of the stories and workbooks used as Teaching Tools in the CMB 8 Step After School Program.  What an incredibly fun challenge it was bringing the CMB characters to life with words, activities, and voices.  I feel proud knowing that the real kids of CMB laugh out loud and discuss these characters while they learn to become more emotionally competent and independent through their experiences in this amazing program."  ~ Stephanie Lemelin

Michele King lives in the Los Angeles area where she has been doing graphic design and illustration for over 13 years. She Michele Kingopened King Creative Design in 1994 and has gleaned numerous clients in a wide variety of industries. Her focus is on logos and letterheads, invitations, catalogs, resturant menus, posters, product packaging, CD & DVD packaging, in-store signage, website design, surface & textile design, screen prints, illustration and much more. In late 2008, Michele started her partnership with Sunfish Design where she continues her design profession with a focus on website design and corporate identity.

"Designing the CMB workbooks and poster with the Camp MakeBelieve crew was such a pleasure. I was given an amazing concept to work with, from the whimsical illustrations and the fully realized characters to the cleverness of the activities themselves. But beyond all that, the upbeat personalities of Pam and Claudia turned my "work" project into a "fun" project. I look forward to working with them again in the future!" - Michele King, Sunfish Design

Jimmy Boring began working for Camp MakeBelieve over 10 years ago. Although he didn't know it, he competed against artists all over the world to be the illustrator for CMB. Jimmy - laid back, reserved and very handsome - gets us over at CMB headquarters. It's freakishly peculiar to watch him as he operates. He quietly listens to the story, then starts sketching. Within minutes he gives our characters a full range of emotions and makes them come to life--always with dignity. Children are drawn to his art because his characters are expressive, true to life and comical--all at the same time. Jimmy started as an elementary school art teacher in Las Vegas. When he is not writing lesson plans or drawing illustrations for Camp MakeBelieve, he is most likely traveling the world to some new and exotic land in order to find new things to draw.

Jimmy is the talented artist who brought to life the characters of Camp MakeBelieve Kids.

Kaitlin Doubleday grew up in Los Angeles and went to a performing arts highschool where, with her pretty blonde tresses and million-dollar smile, she seemed like a natural for on-camera talent, and launched her Kaitlin Doubledayacting career during her late teens.  Doubleday made a highly auspicious feature film debut as Joanna, one of the many (many) beautiful girls bedecking the cast of Steven Spielberg's Frank Abagnale biopic Catch Me if You Can. A romantic lead in Ryan Shiraki's gender-bending teen comedy Freshman Orientation followed, but marked something of a step backward, receiving as it did extremely limited theatrical distribution and a long-delayed U.S. video release. In 2005 and 2006, respectively, the actress essayed supporting parts in the workplace comedy Waiting and the teen comedy Accepted. She also signed for a very brief turn in Jake Kasdan's media satire The TV Set (2006), starring David Duchovny, and portrayed the romantic lead in the short-lived 2007 sitcom Cavemen, ostensibly a pointed commentary about race relations based on the famous Geico commercials.  Since the short lived run of Cavemen she has made many guest appearances on such shows as "Bones", "Brothers and Sisters", "CSI Miami" and starred in an indy film called "Ligeia" that is yet to be released.

Kaitlin can be heard as the voice on the read a longs:  Hyper Javier Learns to Calm Down, Gifted Gregory Learns to Make Friends, and Madison the Manipulator Learns Respect.

"My favorite part of working with Camp MakeBelieve Kids?  It was a blast working in the studio with Pam and Demo Dave, trying to keep serious, while recording these whacky characters as they got into mischief and on and off their emotional roller coasters.  Add that to playing voices of boys with accents -- Gregory is British and Javier is Latino.  Too fun!  Then having the opportunity to watch the real Camp MakeBelieve kids as they listened to these read a longs.  The kids went from laughing hysterically to getting serious and sharing their own stories.  I thought,"Wow! This really works! They totally got it!" - Kaitlin Doubleday

Renee’s main research interests include school based mental health services, autism spectrum disorders, and legal issues in special education and mental health. It is Renee’s belief that it is just as important for students of all ages to have good social, emotional, and behavioral skills as it is for students to have good academic skills. It is her hope that future national, state, and local policies reflect this sentiment, and provide for such services with awesome, innovative programs, like Camp MakeBelieve, that help teach such skills.

"My favorite role at CMB is working with the children in our program.  I love how surprised the kids get when I tell them how shy I used to be. Working with kids has helped to build my confidence. People even say I'm outgoing! In my years as a school psychologist, I have never seen a program more comprehensive, creative, and helpful for children's social, emotional, and behavioral needs than Camp MakeBelieve." - Renee M. Kadlubek NCSP
