CMB Kids, LLC CMB Kids, LLC, was incorporated in 2008 with the express purpose of developing the Camp MakeBelieve Eight Step Program for distribution as a nationally marketed, easily implemented SEL based children’s after-school program. Pamela M. Goldberg, RN, M.S., creator of the Camp MakeBelieve Eight Step Program, is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, who has spent over a decade developing and testing the materials used in the Program.
Janie Root, CMB Kids LLC Partner CMB Kids, LLC Partner, Janie Root, has been instrumental in the development, marketing, sales and promotion of the program since it’s’ inception in 2008. Janie has brought a fresh approach to this program, offering her amazing commitment and expertise in sales, design, marketing and Public Relations. Janie has worked relentlessly to launch this program into the cutting edge and incredibly needed market of social and emotional learning for all children. Janie knows first-hand how it feels to be told by teachers that “your child has a problem.” Her son, now a champion for classmates who get bullied, was the youngest child to ever attend Camp MakeBelieve. Janie didn’t give up when her child needed help. She convinced the director that, indeed, 4-5 year old children were smart enough and had the focus to learn SEL skills. She was right. Her son Phillip was the pioneer of the Camp MakeBelieve Little Guys. He continues as incredibly bright, curious 8 year old with energy to spare, focus for his school projects and a strong proponent of sticking up for friends against the bully.
