An Award Winning Social and Emotional Learning Program
Today it is not enough just to teach our children how to read and write, we must also help them develop the skills to manage their emotions, resolve social conflict and make good choices. Educators and policy makers are showing increased interest in programs that emphasize Social & Emotional Learning (SEL). They are focusing on SEL programs for three primary reasons. First, Social & Emotional Learning programs arm troubled children with techniques to combat anti-social and destructive behaviors. Second, SEL programs can provide enriching experiences that broaden children's perspective and improve their socialization. Third, SEL programs, whether after school or incorporated in the school day, can help improve the academic achievement of students.
Camp MakeBelieve Kids' core concept is social & emotional learning in a fun, interactive way.
